Myosin Head Actin Atp Binding Site Adp Pi

Front Describe the cross bridge cycle.
Back - ATP attaches to myosin head
- myosin head detaches from binding site on actin

- ATP hydrolysed to ADP and Pi
- provides energy for myosin head to return to cocked position
- myosin head can bind to binding site further down the actin filament

- myosin head binds to binding site on actin
- cross bridge forms
- Pi released

- myosin head rotates using energy from ATP
- moves actin filament towards centre of sarcomere
- ADP released

PI THEN ADP
