Film Rights State's Distribution Selling Studio Gain Work

Front How does State's Rights Distribution work?
Back When selling a film to a large film studio to distribute (e.g. Paramount),the studio would gain a majority of the profits from ticket sales and would sometimes gain the rights to future productions. State's Rights distribution meant selling your film to many small marketers who worked regionally. They would demand less of a cut overall and would give the animators more control over how their film was shown.
